Student Placement

Are you a student interested in developing your professional skills within an educational and supportive environment? Uniting Harrison regularly offers placements to students studying Certificate IV, Diploma, or Bachelor degrees.

'It has been wonderful seeing all the classroom theory translated into practical application... the range of services at UnitingCare Harrison is diverse and I've enjoyed seeing the way staff draw on their skills and past experiences in their work with those needing support.'

- Michelle, who did a work placement at UnitingCare Harrison as part of her Diploma of Community Welfare Work.

Students interested in placement opportunities must complete the Expression of Interest and forward this via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or mail to 321 Ferntree Gully Road Mount Waverley VIC 3149.

Harrison accepts one student at a time within each program at the discretion of the Senior Manager. If a number of applications are received then interviews may be arranged with prospective students. All students must provide a current (within 12 months) Police Check and have a Working with Children Card (if appropriate for the program) before undertaking the placement.

Please recognise that while students are welcome to attend our service, Uniting Harrison's core responsibility is to provide programs and a service to its clients.
